EquityBankLoan is an information site. It has no accounts, no logins for readers, and no lead generation of any kind. The one form on the site is the contact form, described below, and it asks for nothing financial.
The calculator does not send your figures anywhere
The home equity calculator runs entirely in your browser. The home value, mortgage balance and desired borrowing amount you type are used to do arithmetic on your own device and are not intentionally transmitted to this site or to anyone else, and are not stored in any database.
There is no network request carrying those values, and nothing writes them to storage in your browser. Close or reload the page and they are gone.
This is a deliberate design decision. Those three numbers together describe your financial position, and the safest way to protect information is not to collect it.
Ordinary technical information is a different matter
Not collecting your calculator inputs is not the same as collecting nothing at all, and we will not claim otherwise.
Like effectively every website, this site runs on a web server that records ordinary technical information in its logs. That typically includes IP addresses, the pages requested, timestamps, referring pages and browser user-agent strings. Hosting providers also commonly run security systems that inspect traffic for abuse. This happens at the server and hosting level and is normal operation of a website rather than something we do with your data.
We have no visibility into and no control over the retention periods our hosting provider applies to its own logs and security systems.
Cookies
The site does not currently use advertising or tracking cookies.
WordPress, the software this site runs on, may set functional cookies in ordinary circumstances, for example if you log in to the site as an administrator. Readers browsing the site are not asked to log in and do not need an account.
The contact form
Our contact page has a form. It asks for four things: your name, your email address, a reason for contacting us, and your message.
That information is sent to us by email so a person can read it and reply. We use it to answer you and, where you are reporting a correction, to check the point you raise against the source. We do not add you to any list, we do not sell or share it, and we do not use it to advertise anything to you.
The message is kept in our email account for as long as it is useful for handling the correction or the question. If you would like your message deleted, ask and we will delete it.
Please do not send financial or account information through the form. We do not ask for your credit score, income, home value, mortgage balance, Social Security number, lender account number or application details, and we cannot help with an application, an existing loan or a lender account. If you send that information anyway, we will delete it rather than keep it.
The form uses a simple question to filter out automated submissions. There is no third-party spam service, no tracking pixel and no analytics attached to it.
Analytics
No third-party analytics service is currently installed on this site. If one is added, this page will be updated to say which one, what it collects and how to opt out.
What we do not do
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, income, credit score, Social Security number or any other personal or financial information.
- We do not operate any form of lead generation and do not pass reader information to lenders. There is nothing to pass.
- We do not sell data, because we do not collect any.
- We do not run advertising or advertising trackers.
If any of this changes, for example if a contact form or a newsletter is added, this page will be updated before the change goes live and the specific data involved will be described.
Links to other sites
This site links to lender websites and to public sources such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site, subject to their privacy practices, which we do not control. We have no commercial relationship with any lender linked here.

This site is intended for adult homeowners and is not directed at children.

Status of this page
This baseline reflects the site as it is now: a small information site with a client-side calculator and no data collection of its own. It deliberately avoids describing systems that do not exist yet.
It should be reviewed by the site owner and by appropriate legal counsel, and revisited whenever functionality that touches reader data is added. Jurisdiction-specific obligations, including those arising under US state privacy laws, have not been assessed here.
