EquityBankLoan currently makes no money. There is no advertising on this site, there are no affiliate links, and we have no commercial relationship, partnership or arrangement with any lender or financial company.
We are stating that plainly because “how we make money” pages are often written to sound transparent while describing arrangements in the abstract. At the moment there is nothing to describe.
What may change
The intention is that EquityBankLoan will eventually earn revenue, most likely by receiving compensation from financial companies when readers use certain links or services. That is how most comparison sites are funded, and being funded is what allows research to be maintained rather than done once and abandoned.
If and when that happens, this page will say so, and it will name what kind of arrangement exists. Any link that earns us money will be disclosed at the point of the link, not only here in the small print.
The rules we intend to hold to
- Compensation will never determine whether a lender appears on this site.
- Compensation will never change a published figure, a stated requirement, or how a product is described.
- Compensation will never determine the order in which lenders or products are shown. Where ordering is applied, we will explain what it is based on.
- Whether a lender pays us will be recorded in our own data separately from anything factual, so that our editorial decisions can be checked against it rather than taken on trust.
- We will not accept payment to remove, soften or delay unfavorable factual information.
Those are commitments about the future, and you have no reason to take them on trust today. What you can check today is the method: every lender figure on this site carries the source it came from and the date it was read, so you can go and look.
Why this matters for you
When a comparison site earns money from lenders, the incentive is to send you to whoever pays most, and the usual way that shows up is not an outright false statement. It is ordering, emphasis, and which gaps get quietly filled in.
The protections we have built against that are described in our editorial policy: unpublished facts stay visibly unpublished, interpreted figures are labelled as ours, and human review applies to a specific version of the data rather than serving as a decorative badge.
